Effective January 1, 2018
Net Trans is always working to accommodate your needs to ensure a safe and efficient ride. In order to do this, we have made some changes regarding our fare policy. Beginning January 1, 2018, each driver will collect the fare for each leg of the trip as the passenger boards the van. Riders will receive a receipt for each fare. If a passenger does not wish to write a check for each leg of the trip, the passenger may simply pay in exact cash or purchase tickets in advance.
NET Trans provides service within the rural areas of Carter, Hancock, Hawkins, Greene, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi and Washington counties and the urbanized area which is outside of the city limits of Bristol, Johnson City and Kingsport. We operate from 6:00am – 6:00pm Monday- Friday, with limited service available on Saturday. We will no longer have Area A and Area B. The zone based fares will apply to all trips within our operating hours and service area. Per mile/hour fares apply to trips which are outside of our normal operating hours or service area district.
Payment of Fare
All fares are based on one-way trips and will be paid upon boarding the transit vehicle. Fares can be paid by cash, check or ticket. Please have correct change if you are paying by cash. Drivers do not carry cash and cannot make change. Fare tickets can be purchased at 704 Rolling Hills Drive, Johnson City or by contacting our office at 423-461-8233. Tickets are non-refundable.
