NET Trans Shines at the Tennessee State Roadeo

As part of the 2025 Tennessee Public Transportation Association (TPTA) Annual Conference, NET Trans proudly participated in the Tennessee State Roadeo, an exciting, skills-based competition showcasing the dedication, talent, and professionalism of public transit drivers and mechanics from across the state.

Held in Knoxville, TN, the roadeo brought together transit agencies to compete, learn, and celebrate the essential work of transportation professionals.

Putting Skills to the Test

The State Roadeo challenges participants with real-world driving scenarios designed to evaluate precision, safety, and customer-focused performance. Drivers navigated tight turns, obstacle courses, passenger loading simulations, and timed maneuvers—all under the pressure of competition.

NET Trans competed in:

  • The Conversion Van Division
  • The Mechanic Competition

These events highlight the technical expertise and on-road safety skills required of public transit professionals. Every participant is judged on accuracy, safety, professionalism, and knowledge of their vehicle.

NET Trans Celebrates Major Wins

We are excited to share that NET Trans earned top placements in the Conversion Van Division:

2nd Place – Keith Huskins

3rd Place – Jennifer Lawson

Both competitors demonstrated exceptional focus, safe driving skills, and a deep commitment to the passengers they serve every day. Their performance reflects the standards and values NET Trans upholds across all operations.

We are incredibly proud of Keith, Jennifer, and our entire team who represented NET Trans with professionalism and enthusiasm.

A Gathering of Transit Professionals

Beyond competition, the Tennessee State Roadeo serves as a hub for learning and connection. Drivers and mechanics had the opportunity to:

Share best practices

Learn from peers across the state

Build camaraderie with other transit teams

Celebrate the incredible work public transportation professionals do daily

The roadeo is a reminder that public transit is powered by highly skilled individuals who prioritize safety, service, and community impact.

Thank You to Our Team

NET Trans extends its gratitude to everyone who trained, prepared, and supported our participants. The dedication of our drivers, mechanics, and supervisors is what keeps our communities moving safely and reliably.

We look forward to participating again next year and to bringing home even more wins!
